Cyber Insurance Readiness Check

Cyber Insurance Readiness Check

Your renewal questionnaire is coming. Will your answers hold up?

In about four minutes, see how your security controls line up with what cyber insurers commonly ask at renewal, and what to fix first. Built for the person who completes the questionnaire: usually the finance, operations or IT lead.

What insurers ask about

MFA, EDR, backups, patching, payment verification and the evidence behind them.

Four minutes, six steps

Sixteen plain questions. Nothing is stored until you choose to share it.

A plan, not just a score

Gaps ranked by how much underwriters care, with what to fix and the evidence to have ready.

Evidence to have ready

Insurers increasingly ask for proof, not just a yes, and some run their own external scans. Gather these into one folder before your broker sends the proposal form.

Rating rules: if any critical control (MFA on email or remote access, EDR, offline or immutable backups, payment verification) is answered No or Not sure, the rating is "At risk" regardless of the overall score. Otherwise 85 and above is "Ready", 60 to 84 is "Gaps to close".

General information about controls cyber insurers commonly ask about. Not insurance, legal or financial advice, and not a prediction of whether cover will be offered or on what terms. Your broker and your insurer's proposal form are the authority. Your answers are not stored until you choose to share them.
